Mheetu - Lone Wanderer

Name: Rabuwa (meaning 'grow') also known as 'Mheetu'

History: Rabuwa was born shortly Scar took the throne after the death of his brother and nephew. His then queen, Sarafina, had hoped that her cub would be female so she could deny Scar his wish for an heir but unfortunately the cub was male and quickly named as Scar's successor when he took the throne. Sarafina kept her son near to her at all times and refused to let Scar have any meaningful interactions with his son, fearing that he would try and corrupt the young cub and twist him in Scar's own image. Scar was determined that he would take the cub by force if necessary if Sarafina didn't let him see his son so he could take the boy under his wing.

Thankfully, the appearance of the rogue. Ni, gave Sarafina an oppertunity to both deprive Scar of his heir and ensure that he son remained free of the same taint that infected his father. Under the cover of dark, Mheetu was smuggled from the Pridelands by Ni but the pair were discovered by Scar's hyenas who gave chase. The two managed to get over the eastern border of the Pridelands and to safety. Unfortunately for Sarafina, the hyenas reported Mheetu's supposed abuduction but Scar knew that it was really Sarafina who sent his son away and so he punished her.

Once out of the Pridelands, Ni took Mheetu back to the Disputed Lands with him where he raised the young cub within a wandering pride of bachelor males. Mheetu, whilst not being much of a fighter or a leader, enjoyed life simply wandering from place to place and seeing sights he never would have stuck back in his homeland.

Eventually, Mheetu left the bachelor pride and the Disputed Lands, wanting to take his chances on his own and see other lands besides the one he had grown up in. However, Mheetu stayed clear of the Pridelands, afraid of what he might find there after being so long away. Instead he decided to skirt the borders of the Nyasi Pride and eventually had several flings with some lionesses. However, he wasn't quite as fancy free as he would like because two seperate lionesses managed to track him back to his den and both for the same reason: his cubs. They couldn't raise them and so left them with their father before returning to their homes. Mheetu happily took his offspring in and named his son Ekevu and his daughter Kuiwa.

With his two young charges in tow, Mheetu continued to wander but this time with a purpose: to find a safe and unoccupied territory to raise his cubs.
